If your trip has been spoilt by the cancellation, guess you can either claim on the travel insurance or go anyway and do something different. Or, as it seems, throw a hissy fit. Very poor show, indeed, but not from Ducati.
If no tour was available then that would be fine as I wouldn't of booked and paid for everything. But on the basis it was ok'd 6 months ago I've booked and paid for everything. I guess you wouldn't mind losing out on £500 by not going then? Travel insurance wouldn't help as trip could still be done but without the main reason of he trip would seem pretty pointless.

Things happen in six months.

I spend more than that on a handbag, so no, it's neither here nor there for me. (Let that be a warning to anyone who's thinking of getting into handbags at dawn situation with me, I've got plenty of them and know how to use them.)

You'd be surprised what travel insurance covers. I have had my flight, visa and hotel cancellation charge refunded by the insurance, as a particular soprano had to pull out a few days before my trip to the Met Opera.

Where do I sign up for this clique, btw, or am I already in it? I've never before belonged to a clique so I'm quite tickled to pink to think I might have a chance now.

Bugger. Not sure I want to go quite that far to belong to a clique.
