Nice one!
And how did the Evo cope?

Better than I did...... With my novice skills in the novice group the fastest the lap timer did was 2min 5.
Surprised a few peeps though. Maybe they think that because its not a sports bike it's not too rapid. Till you go winging past them, especially on the outside of the hairpin. Or any corner. Or especially out of any corner with the traction the evo has. Sometimes they caught up towards the end of the straights or under braking. Very impressed with the evo stability. I was expecting it to be more flighty, but it was rock solid. Squirrelled a bit under braking when I overdid it a bit! Booking Cali superbike school L1 to learn some skills. Hooked! |

Well done Marcus, sounds like you did fine for a first time out.

Don't suppose you noticed what sort of speed* the Evo got up to along the start/finish straight? I imagine the lack of screen starts becoming an issue?
(*don't forget to deduct 8% - ffs)

It's not how fast you got round the track.
It's how good you look while doing it ! I would expect you would see 120mph-130-mph before backing off and slamming on the brakes for Paddock Hill bend, or the gravel...

Spot on. Looking at the speedo whilst going under the bridge was about 125.
