New member 696 in Hampshire
Hi folks,
Quick intro to announce my arrival on the forum and Ducati ownership. Got my 696 in Dec from Moto Rapido in Winchester and have managed to get 1000 miles on it, despite the ice and snow. (Though in truth I probably spent twice as much time cleaning as I did riding!) I spent the last couple of years buying and never riding my Jap bikes in case they got dirty - so I'm grateful to my wife for letting me get my Monster696 on the condition it gets used regardless Looking forward to meeting up, ride outs and (fingers crossed) track days. Hi Steve, welcome.
1000 miles in this weather - you are keeping to your word about using it. Let's see some pictures of the shiny beast.

If you're interested in a sort of Monster Trackday, worth having a look at this I'm putting together. http://ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=31406 And keep your eye on Rapid Training, Hottrax and No Limits websites for lots of others that a bunch of us will be doing. And if you fancy a day trip to France, http://ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=31392

Thanks for the welcome
Thanks folks,
Hi Charlotte, yes its me from Popham - Bradders was right about spending all afternoon cleaning! My 696 was in Red (its the plus version) and I picked her up from Moto Rapido with Carbon Termis and the racing ECU. I also got the rear luggage which has proven to be real useful, as it unzips from the pillion and can be worn as a rucksack! Sorry - didn't vote as I only buy MCN occasionally and didn't know about the pole. Wasn't to keen on the recent 4th place in their test, cause the rider was over 6 feet tall I'll get some photo's this weekend - maybe after I've washed her again to confirm the colour.... |
