DP tail tidy on M796
Just had my first annual service done today on my M796 & while it was there I had a DP tail tidy fitted. Looks so much better than the standard affair.

I've not tried it at night yet but it does look much better than the original. To me, the original tail was the only thing that spoilt the appearance of an otherwise perfect bike.

Might spoil your perfect jacket and bike too if you go out in the rain. Oooh might is wrong. It WILL but it does look better yes

I guessed it would but luckily I'm a fair whether rider anyway so it shouldn't affect me. Riding in the rain spoils everything for me anyway, regardless whether there's a tail tidy or not.
I'll just have to watch the weather girl a bit closer Justin |

My weather girl will be sitting on the back catching the spray for me.

My weather girl did that for me in her leathers one rainy Sunday morn after a UKMOC breakfast at Hilltop Diner and spent the next hour or so getting a very muddy and saturated back and bum. We practically had to wring her out when we got home!
And I have the standard tail on the 696!!! Good Luck!! |

Make sure the bolts stay tight, mine came loose and as it is Ducati Performance and made of parmesan, it disintegrated!

Haha JerryT, the wringing out business sounded fun
Thanks for the advice Scott. One good tip to remember on my pre ride checks. Having said that, my original tail seemed to have a lot of play yet the four main bolts were tight. I'm guessing they're mounted on anti-vibration rubber mounts? Still, it never felt spongy, just loose. Oh well the new one feels firm so I'll try to keep it that way. Thanks again, Justin |
