Split exhausts

Not Monster I'm afraid, but genuine 900 Superlight Exhaust Cans.

I have a pair in the garage that I want to use on my latest project and have discovered that they are both split at the flange where the sleeve goes over the 'cone'.

Has anyone had a set of these apart?
It looks like an easy TIG repair if I can get them apart, and am assuming it's just a case of drilling out the three Pop rivets at the other end, taking the mounting bolts out and sliding the Ali sleeve off.
Sounds too easy and Haynes manual like when put like that!

They don't have to look perfect for what I'm doing, but I would like the look of the standard cans rather than aftermarket ones.

Whilst I'm in there I might as well help them breathe a little easier
Anyone have any tips?

Thanks

Nasher.
