Gaskets for top end rebuild

I'm about to lift the barrels off my 1996 600 as it's smoking like a James Bond smokescreen! The bike has only got 45PSI compression on the vertical cylinder so I’m assuming the rings are broken or stuck.

Are the Athena gaskets off eBay OK?

I’ve successfully rebuild old car engines in the past so I’m OK spanner wise but I’ve never done this before, is there anything else I need or need to look out for?

All tips welcome 
