New Monster owner

Hi all

Just registered on the site having just passed my test last november, left it pretty late as I'll be hitting the big 40 this year. Rode bikes from about 12 years old on the farm but never got round to taking my test! Lived in Cyprus for a couple of years and got around on an old GPz 550 (R.I.P.) after an argument with a taxi! Now married with 3 kids and thought it would be sensible to get a bike for commuting purposes. Did a 3 day Direct Access with ACE Motorcycle Training in Brislington who were fantastic. Trained by ex Para turned racer turned instructor, then jogged across the road to pick up a 695 and fitted some termis on it straightaway, then after overhearing the salesman in Riders say "the 695 is a perfect bike for a girl" (No disrespect ladies, but it was my wife who convinced me!) I decided to hock it in for an S4RS Tricolore, one chopped tail and full race termis later plus a remortgage and no Christmas for the next 5 years (only kidding kids!) I am a very proud owner of a fantastic machine. Have to say, never thought it would all happen so fast. Needless to say, still working off the chicken strips and in no hurry to keep up with the Stoners of this world! (Not for a while anyhoo!!)
