I've spent the day carrying out further maintenance/ upgrades to the 12r, in anticipation of our next meet ( whenever that will be!)
Here's a thought, why don't we meet up, once we can, anyway. Say somewhere towards the Midlands. We have the foc tickets for the National Motorcycle Museum. Who's game? I'm of for a pint of Trooper.....

Part of me prefers this to the dystopia we used to call normality. I recall our last ill fated trip to Solihull. Hours sitting in a tailback on a motorway, raining, more traffic than I've ever seen in my life! A very greasy spoon with ambulances wailing past every five or less minutes. Greyness, concrete, traffic, noise, fumes and claustrophobia! So when we get our freedom back, are we all going to go out and create a massive celebratory gridlock? Great idea though Grumpy, looking forward to some more rides out again... Might post you the NMM tickets?

If/when we do return to the National Motorcycle Museum, I have worked out a route from Leicester which avoids the motorway drag and instead meanders through the leafy warwickshire countryside.
I had another trip to make in the same direction last year and made some notes at the time. So if we're on the bikes, I can probably lead the way for those who need to pass close to Leicester or Coventry. It would be good to meet up as soon as is reasonably possible after the lockdown period has passed anyway, I reckon. Even if its just for a group ride to nowhere in particular. Missed y'all yesterday. |

Was gutted this one couldn’t go ahead. Well up for a ride out once it’s all over & kind of happy to go anywhere.
I’ll be setting off from Doncaster but happy to head to Leicester and follow your route utopia. I can probably make the ride to Leicester more exciting than the M1 too. Maybe country lanes to Nottingham and then the same to Leicester. This could end up a 4 hour ride to Birmingham, oh the dream of it! See you all soon, I hope! Stay safe |

Why not being the ticket next time we meet? I have this image of all the petrol heads in the UK hitting the road 30seconds after the lockdown is lifted! Quote:
So are we going down the queens highway like a streak off lightning or on the road To know where!?

Well Earthlings! We seem to have a dichotomy.
To quote Led Zeppelin from Stairway to heaven " ..there are two roads you can go by, but in the long run. There's still time to change the road you're on."
