Holiday
Recently spent 10 days in France, Switzerland and Italy.
When I reviewed the pics I took there don't seem to be many showing how fantastic the roads are. Maybe that is because I couldn't bear to stop just to take a pic! Here is a selection of pics I did find the time to take. Last edited by logyk; 11-06-2005 at 12:41 PM.. |

Looks great and I can't wait now! We're off to Switzerland, then Italy and back through France at the end of this month (in the car though) - which is a good job as Neil has two fractured hands!! Planning the route to ride on the monsters next year.

Very nice indeed. I hope you removed the useful but offensive rack at the first opportunity
Oh, where was the tunnel? |

Fodder the tunnel is near the top of the Col de Galibier....it is used on the Tour de France. To be honest that road was a bit too tight for the bike ....but I did it anyway
ps4......Avignon is worth an hour or two .....athough the Pont is a swizz....it doesn't go right across the river !!!!! We used the train Avignon/Calais on the return journey having used Paris/Avignon on the way down. I wouldn't recommend Paris on a bike .....we hit the Peripherique at rush hour. Trying to ride through stationary/slow moving lines of traffic at 40/50mph is not my idea of fun....particularly as the local bikers try to race you and the cars flick from lane to lane without warning !!! |

Very nice pics are you on commission from the countries' tourist boards?
We'd like to make our way to Italy (and back) next year, but this year we're off to East Germany. |

Thanks MrsJel....unfortunately i am not being paid anything for my efforts...in fact owing to the fact that I indulged myself by staying at a wonderful hotel (La Bastide de Gordes) on the final night the holiday cost a pretty packet, although I don't regret a penny.
As to Italy next year ......I have the germ of an idea of suggesting a UKMOC raiding party to WDW 2006. Would anyone be at all interested ? |
