Better say Hi
Hi all,
As a recent addition to the Ducati fold thought I'd say hello. Passed my DAS in March and got my Monster on April 1st. Using it mainly to get to work plus a few longer rides when I can get away from home. It's a 2000 M600 Dark, and so far I have done a tail chop to get rid of the beer tray an bled the clutch after it stopped working. Got some new tyres to go on, plus new chain and sprockets and brake pads as I don't know when they were changed last and I'll be happier knowing they're done. Currently it's off the road waiting for me to change all the locks; ignition, petrol cap and seat, after some low-life burglar nicked my keys (along with a load of other stuff) Another member here has managed to supply me with a new set for a decent price, so it's already been worth coming. Cheers |

Hello mate and welcome. If the bikes already off the road, make sure the belts get changed if you don't know when they were last done. 2 years or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Is that a job i can do myself? I haven't got a manual, but I'm reasonably handy with a spanner.

Welcome, belts are very easy to change - Pedro did mine for me and I was very surprised how little skill it takes

welcome m8. A M600 can be a nice mistress just as long as you keep her happy ;-)
