How fast is she??
My wee monnie (m620ie) is causing quite a stir amongst all my mates with bike. questions are comin thick and fast, HOW MUCH
WHERE YOU GET HER WHY SHE SO SMALL HOW FAST IS SHE? ok 1st 3 questions no prob just tell them to feck off and mind there own business but the 4th i cant answer with a top end figure YET, Shes brand new so ive never bin over the ton and wont be for a while!! So can i please get some realistic top end figures to stop me from trying b4 she's ready!!! Obviously i understand that all figures given were done on a private airfield or race track (aye right!!) oh and you'll have to excuse me callin my wee baby 'she and her' I treat her like i would any special woman, take good care of her but throw my leg over as much as i can!!!

You'll probably find a standard 620 will reach around 115-120mph, eventually... (the official figure these days is 120mph I believe, but I imagine that was done on a test rig rather than on the road with wind resistance/drag etc. to take into account).
The later bikes have a six speed gearbox, so theoretically that sort of speed is attainable, but not necessaritly sustainable - as even my 5 speed 620 hit 120mph once (in favourable conditions) at around 8,500rpm - so still had a bit more to go, but it wouldn't pull it... You'll find the bike is quick up to about 105/110mph - it's the last bit that takes forever, and to be honest isn't really worth it - and of course hanging onto a naked bike at that speed for any length of time is a pain too... Look at it this way, you ought to have a clean licence for a lot longer than if you'd bought an R6 for example... xxx |
