Fuel leak
Hi,
My bike is a 1993 M900 and I have Just found out I have a fuel leak. The fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump is leaking (perished) Question: Is the fuel line just a piece of hose or is it a specific part? mks |

Probably available as a part but potentially just a piece of hose. Depends on if it has any pre-formed bends in it too I'd imagine. My bike came in boxes so I cant say for certain

No reason you can't simply replace it with some fuel rated hose

As I found out with my '96 M750 some of the hoses are pre-formed and can't be accurately replicated with generic hose. Some were NLA when I checked with Moto Rapido about 12 months ago although others could still be supplied.

From memory one hose is specific with a 6mm inlet at one end and an 8mm outlet at the other, I might be wrong here but it is not insoluble as you can get brass reducers on fleabay for a few quid. The moulded originals are obviously designed to fit nicely in the congested space between the vacuum fuel pump and the float bowls but no reason why generic ethanol proof petrol hose should not work.

I find; https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ to be a useful source, all parts shown in catalogue form and you can order directly from it.
