Best place to get wheel bearings

Having wheels blasted and powder coated a new colour so have removed old bearings from the wheels.
Question now is - where's good to get replacements for Ducati 900 ?
The bearings that came out were all sealed variants. I haven't as yet taken a look at their numbers but will do so tomorrow morning.
TIA, Richard

Simply bearings is where all my bearings come from. Usually delivered in a couple of days and competitively priced

Hi there 350Tss,
Just checked out the prices for the bearings that came out.
They were all SKF 6*2RS1 ones.
Front wheel wheel were 2x6303, rear wheel and carrier were 2x 62203 and 6005 respectively.
Cost to replace all comes to £280 !!! !!!

Is it advisable to refit used bearings ? All but one seem to be OK, so fingers crossed they can be re-used and it's just the one I have to cough up for ....

As an aside - just checked Stein Dinse (SD) and cost is 106 Eu inc delivery. The bearings from SD are SKF but I'm not quite if they are the same spec a the SImplyBearing ones.
also, OEM ones come in at £95 inc VAT and delivery.

It's not a great idea to use them again, as you have bashed them out with the inner races, which bashes the balls against the outer races.
That sound a very excessive price for those bearings.
Most industrial estates have a bearing supplier tucked away somewhere.
Do a Google search for a local bearing stockist.

i tend to use www.marksman-ind.co.uk, stock: koyo, ntn, skf, fag etc.
tgey have a sister site www.bikebearings.co.uk that lets you search by model, application etc. but if you already have the part number, why bother.

RichardDDuke - sorry if I gave you a bum steer - I have used Simply Bearings for about 10 years and whenever I wanted a bearing I always found them competitive and I only ever bought known brands not the cheapo options available on their site.

No worries - have found the challenge of finding suitable bearings quite interesting as my knowledge of them has now been improved and I feel more at home with the technology and engineering involved.

Agreed, I've paid less for wheels.

Not replaced any for a few years but IIRC, less than a tenner each for most wheel bearings and probably less than a fiver for budget (the bearing with no name!) but I'd stick with a good brand.

There are always some bearings that are silly money, such as those inside the hub on a single-sided swingarm etc. but for the bearings in discussion, I'd expect to pay no more than £50 - £60.
