Victim unknown. I think it may have been taken in Carl Harrison's workshop? emzedder sent it to me after sending a picture of his belt which has been penetrated by the tensioner bearing balls! The belt remained intact and he got away with it.

I hope emzedder doesn't mind me posting his picture.
It's a 900SS. It looks like the balls were pushed through the belt as they got between the belt and pullies, I hope they caused the cracks too, I'm sure he doesn't let his belts get like that! I meant to change my tensioner bearings at 30000 miles but didn't, I'm up to 40000 now and no problems. 30000 seemed to be a common time for them to fail, from posts on here, but most seem to just go on forever?

I had a 600SS belt snap horizontally across the belt, the piston wasn't as bad as that.
On the carbie and IE's I remember the double bearings were a pig to remove, the bigger single deep bearing was a doddle. My S2Rs feel nice at the mo (changed the belts a few months ago) so I'm leaving well alone.
