I'm back & still breathing!

Got home yesterday afternoon. Knackered & feeling very delicate, I have been told to allow one month before my strength & vitality begins to put in an appearance. So lots of dossing on the sofa, reading & watching TV for the time being which goes against the grain but heho.

Anyway, I thought I would watch a dvd. Bad idea, my chest hurt so much after just a couple of minutes of this I had to give up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4T_4uLQ7e0

Maybe I will have to leave it for a few weeks.
Anyway, good to be home & looking forward to getting back on the bike just in time for the weekender.

Ah ha! They put you all back together ok then? That's good news. Get well soon. I'm sure we're due a great spring and riding season this year. After the last few crap ones we have to be due one, right?

I assume so. If I had been doing the job, there would have been at least one washer, one spacer & one spring left over afterwards.

And maybe a few loose screws too?

You have to admire those guys. They're really skilled at what they do, they don't sleep for days at a time, they read one service manual and then go and service another altogether different model.

So I suppose if nothing rattles, knocks, leaks oil or drops off in the next day or so I'm sure you'll be fine. If it does then its down to high mileage or general wear and tear.

In the mean time just keep to running in revs and try not to overdo it.

Good to hear that the warranty work went well.

Enjoy the enforced rest and get better soon.

Hi BRD, pleased to hear you are home having given up your hospital bed for an "Ill person".
Just take it steady and take time to note the little things that show you are getting back to normal.
mañana is a good frame of mind.
Not too much bike polishing yet, but look forwards to seeing you out and about when you are fully fixed and running in.
Best regards
Mark

Thank you everyone. Whilst mulling over just how incredibly skilled and talented the surgical team were, I am reminded of the following:

A surgeon and a motor mechanic were having a discussion over a pint.

The mechanic said "of course, modern cars are now so complicated and sophisticated that my job is more like yours these days".

The surgeon paused for a moment and replied "yes, that would be perfectly true if you had to change the oil, oil & air filter and spark plugs with the engine still running"
