Ventura Rack Cross Member!
Hi all,
Just bought a ventura rack off ebay, went to fit it and the cross member that holds the l-brackets to the frame (runs under the sear behind the lock hole) is missing. Don't suppose any one has one lying about or still attached that they didn't realise wasn't part of the frame ... http://www.wenga.net/ellingly/dml/DSC_2808_dml.jpg Thanks LB (could really do with one before Belgium .... ) |

Going to call motohaus on Monday morning to see if they have any as spares |

What does it actually do Sarah. Need to see a profile of it to see if its flat/round etc hollow.
Yes one could be made no doubt. GT a fairly good welder locally.

Will be difficult to make one without something to copy
Can't you chase ebay seller to see if it still attached to frame - or even ask for a partial refund?

I got a good exploded diagram from the supplier (motohuas) when I was looking for some replacement screws. They were really helpful so hopefully you can get the cross bar cheaply.
Give them a call. I found them surprisingly helpful and customer focused, even though I bought my rack 2nd hand too. Good to get that service in this day and age... Agree with GT though, hopefully it's still on the sellers bike. If not, as them for some cash back. Good luck. |

have already heard back from the seller and they are somewhat embarrassed, they had not realised the part was still attached to the bike and the bike has now been sold on by the dealer. have been offered a full refund. bit will see how it goes with motohaus on Monday.
