My M900 Project
As some of you may know my due to unforseen circumstances my S4r is up for sale on ebay item no. 360221411238. If the S4r sells it will allow me to pay some bills and leave enough for me to complete my M900 and return it to the road. I have attached some pictures showing the bike at the begining of the restoration, where you can see the damage on the frame and engine casing caused by a Battery exploding. Next there is a halfway photo and finally a photo of the latest state of play.
I have completely stripped and rebuilt the engine with only the valve shimming to be completed, I have fitted new gaskets, Belts and Valve seals. I have repainted the Engine, Wheels and Frame. Finally I have stripped the wiring loom back and got rid of approxiametely 4 Metres of excess cabling, why Ducati used so much wiring is anyone's guess. The wiring is no longer held on the frame with the original rubber bands, as I have drilled the frame (taking advice from my cousin who builds airbus) and strapped the wiring to the frame using discreet zip ties. Hopefully I can get it completed by March. |

Very nice! Be interested to see how it progresses as a fellow 900 project owner!

I'll put updates on here as I complete them, and eventually I'll put a complete set of photos in the "project bike" section. It looks like the S4r has gone as it has met it's reserve on ebay and has only 2 days to run , however at least I'll have enough money too finish the 900 off.
