Fuel range on 1993 m944.
Ok so I am getting 75-78 miles in town before light starts flickering and around 85 before it is constantly on. That is when I do my 10 miles on way commute. I know that on a motorway I did 130 so what gives?
How much should you be able to do to a tank on a 1993 m944? I think it was around 100 miles, as it stands now my old 110 bhp 749s did 100 miles in town no problem and around 115 on motorway. |

Ok to 78 is not that good then.
You range is in town or m-way? Also I think my riding style is not good then as my carb m750 never did more then 110 in town. |

Sounds like the fuelling is way off at low speeds

I do about 60 miles a day, thats about 5 miles in traffic the rest are a mixed bag of A roads.
The IE used to do about 120 till the low fuel light came on, the carbie does the same route as quickly and turns in good mpg, about 180 before the warning light pings on. Might be the slightly raucous cored pipes, snap the throttle open round town and people turn and look (some just jump LOL) that keeps me on slightly subtle thottle openings. Odd that I'd have expected the precision injection fuelling to do better

130 around town until the light comes on
150 on a run until the light comes on It's about the same for both the S2R800 & S2R1000 if anything, the 1000 is slightly better on fuel than the 800 |
