MV F4 style tail
Has any one fitted the MV F4 style saet unit to there monnie? I've seen these for sale on Ebay from a German guy and was tempted to buy one, but I would like to see some pictures first.

Ah yes, Jim was the fellow - did me a great deal on tyres too...
Also Simon who had the S4 with the 916 single sider (who won most desirable bike last year at the MW, but now has a 749 - sorry, don't know his username here) had an MV seat on his... I think Jim replaced the whole unit (including the seat pad) but Simon cut the MV tail to fit over the standard monny seat underneath - both looked good... xxx Last edited by JMo; 12-05-2005 at 04:21 PM.. |

Jim's tail was an actual MV unit but Simon's was Monster specific and covered the original seat.

The MV F4 tail is a lovely piece of design but personally I prefer to keep it on the MV. The problem is it was designed for a big sports bike with lots of plastic so on a monster It liiks really big and a bit long?
Now if you took it, split it to make it a couple of inches thinner and then shortened it by a few inches too, that would look perfect for a monster, but as standard it hangs over the rear justa bit too long. But then I do like pert little bottoms

Here is a few pics of the MV seat on my S4 from a while back (now being grafted onto another bike). Also shown are how the Italians did it: But each to their own such is the wonder of "Monster Choice".... Best regards all simon |
