No I don't think there was, it was a box of bits when I bought it, and half of those bits went in a skip, including the engine. Most folks have forgotten what skips are for. It always amuses me to read on EBay that an item "only needs a quick clean". What that usually means is that the item is beyond restoration, but to look on the bright side, this is one more piece of biking history that has been saved, well for a while anyway.

Yet another super restoration.
Your work always looks top notch, and this is no exception.

Trouble is, I can't look at a cub engine without wanting it to be in the trials frame, with an ally tank.
Where was that skip ? ......

The ski
p is in Burton on Trent amenity centre, but that was nearly a year ago.

That's lovely, do you plan on riding it or is it going to be a 'show only' thing?

As a current 'custodian' of an old bike I think they should get used as intended rather than wrapped up and hidden away but each to their own- esspecially after a lot of time and heartache.
