1999 M900 Rear Shock Length
Howdo!
Can anyone confirm the rear shock length for a 1999 M900 Dark. Unfortunately I can't check against my old one as it went for a rebuild and was beyond repair. Got a M-shock replacement but believe it's to long. Thanks for any info Pablo |

When I put an Öhlins on my 1999 M900, I believe the length was 330mm with a 65mm stroke. I think the length changed to 305mm from 2002.

The Nitron that I put on my 2000 M750 was also 330mm (between axes).
Pretty sure the 900 is the same. I have a 900 swingarm anyway, fitted later with no issues. I also have a note (apparently quoting Ducati UK) that recommended spring rates versus rider weights are ... 155-175 lb .. 9.5 (I believe the units are N/mm, but my note has no units) 175-200 lb .. 10 200-235 lb .. 10.5 235-265 lb .. 11.5 above 265 lb .. 12 Dunno where I've had this info from but I must have believed it at the time or I wouldn't have recorded it, so probably ok. No guarantees though. |
