Dead Monster

Humph

Got on this morning, turned over and went to start like normal but didnt (nothing new sometimes takes a couple of goes on a dampish morning)

Went to start again and nothing, completely dead. Dash lights and fuel pump going but starter just dead.

Off to charge battery as first attempt, I may be back ..............

Check the main fuse first. If there is nothing wrong there, put your finger on the starter relay and see if you feel a click when you press the starter button. If not, it is probably the suspect!

I doubt it's the main fuse as the clocks and fuel pump are working
I have some new spare relays here if req.

Cheers Stafford - bike is on charge now - it does click when you press the starter but I've not checked on the relay

Oh well I could be turning up to Castle Coombe on a F1

My does that sometimes I think my battery is fubar.

If I am far from home and get click but nothing more I rock the bike bakc and forth in gear, mainly back to make sure starter motor also turns while I get pistons off compression.
Then I press starter button 3 to 4 times and usually as it starts rocking on starter motor it turns over and fires up.
