43Nm / 32Lbs Ft, use a 8mm Allen socket

Clean the bolt threads first, apply anti-seize, ( steel into alloy=not good )

nip hand tight first, then say 30Nm, then 43Nm

mark Allen head with marker pen, but you'll find they won't move

No need to use Loctite thread locker

 is the answer, 'tighten 'em up 'til they go slack, then back 'em off half-a-turn'? LOL

Talking torque - whats the best torque wrench to buy? The guy in mon local Halfords reckons a 20lbs/ft should do it but I see higher settings here. Any offers?

I got a Halfords Torque wrench and it's a top bit of kit - goes upto about 40lbs/ft I think. Only thing I can't check with it is the rear axle nut and clutch nut. They came second in the Ride Magazine test for quality and value.

Well I did see a hell of a lot of bits and bobs on flebay and it got me to thinking, just what do I need for tinkering with my bike? I don't know about you, but I find the little toolkit Ducati supply somewhat limited in its scope.
