Anyone who's read Mat Oxley's excellent book "Stealing Speed" will already be familiar with the story of Ernst Degner's defection from East Germany to the West in 1961 bringing with him all the secrets of MZ, which he passed on to Suzuki.

If you've got access to Sky Documentaries then this Saturday at 21:00 there's a program about this called "Missile from the East" - should make for interesting viewing.
