Stupid laws have fatal consequences

Finding cash to implement them is no problem, in the name of 'saving life', yet when there is the need to remove them to save the same lives it's too expensive? Each day the world makes less sense to me!

'Safer' 20mph zones led to rise in number of road deaths but too costly to reverse, council admits

Always follow Scotlands example, lower the drink drive limit and have more people killed the following year ???

Unfortunately the nanny state just does not work and you cant legislate common sense or outlaw stupidity

Laws don't kill people: other people do.
Someone should do something about it?
But whom?

I think there are two problems here,

1: Laws are generally made by people who have been out of the real world for a long time and assume that everybody will conform willingly

2: Councils ! The primary function of which is to relieve us of as much cash as possible and spend it on ****e, invariably they are manned by miscreants who's only contribution to anything is to steal oxygen.

Now our illustrious government has given the councils permission to charge us all more to pay extra money to the police. A few months ago we had to pay more council tax to pay for the NHS.

If that idiot May hadn't called an election (she wouldn't be up sh*t creek) and the country could have saved 140million. Or perhaps we could have only bought one leaky aircraft carrier? Afterall we can't afford any 'planes for them apparently...

Well. there are those well argued points made above which are for the most part valid and then there is getting to admit they were wrong in the first place which just isn't going to happen at any cost.So called democracy?, pah don't make me laugh only when it suits them!

Councils always asking for suggestions to save money

But they don't like the suggestion to move to defined contribution pensions for all their staff

therein lies the crux of the problem too many people on the gravy train
