It is for hyper so same as monster 821 or I think 1200. Ducati is 127 a set Kim and brembo about 85 Suzuki just under 60 Sbs sintered under 60 Ebc just over 60 What you all use? Ducats one is a joke in price

I've gone for a set of Brembo sinter LA front and SP rear.... (use the rear brake more than the front slow speed riding, line adjustments etc...)

Fuzzy question here is are Ducati units 127 good no as they are rebranded brembo units.
Question two is are brembo 85 good when others can be below 50?

Right OEM Ducati pads in the hyper/monster 821/1200 are organic pads and plain stupid in terms of pricing. Question is this are ou planning on sticking with Organic Pads or move to Sintered?? I personally hate EBC I had a couple of set of their and thought they were garbage. I don't rate SBK either they felt grabby like the OEM pads in the monster 821. I've also tried DP which where good, Brembo, Ferrodo and braketech. Personally DP, Brembo, Ferrodo are ranked top... braketech make decent pads too bud you're paying for them. DP you're looking probably 85-95 per set Brembo is you're not going OEM Organic you're looking about £100 a set front and rear £90-ish for their standard Organic pads Ferrodo about £90 for a set too. Last set of EBC pads I bought were £105 (HH for M4 monos) SBK should be about £90, Galfer probably about the same. They're personal preference so asking others to recommend pads is irrelevant. Personally as I said I've ordered a set of Brembo Road Sintered (LA compound) and a racier SP compound for the rear. |

Fuzzy it is a bit relevant as stock Suzuki pads are 40 for pair of callipers lol.
They will work for most users so paying 120 is suddenly a big difference. I know it is a preference but sometimes it's better to ask and do informed decision to test something new over experimenting. I personally like EBC Sintered on road and can get them for just under 60GBP for front set. PFP sintered where my best choice but cannot get them anymore Brembo for me felt to noisy just like OEM If by grabby you mean stick a bit to discs when not in use never experienced that.

Meant grabby in terms of initial bite.. though I have experienced OEM sticking to the discs over winter which wasn't great but then I didn't clean them before storage so sort of expected that. Prices I've quoted where for front and rear. I agree totally that the OEM pads are over priced but to be fair they wear a Ducati badge and packaging so that's not really surprising haha... Set of fronts from EBC cost me £70 for my ex Street Triple R so at £60 that's good value if you like them.. I found them noisier than the Brembo's.... I can rule out pad/disk combinations as they both used Series Oro disks... Try DP pads should be around £66 for the fronts and they're very good. Thing is it's entirely down to you, I've spent probably £300+ trying different pad combinations to find a combination that I like for the conditions and riding I do. I know EBC and SBK are highly rated by most but for me personally I couldn't get them to work... they felt wooden so I couldn't say yes they're great... I've never tried PFP no one offered them where I was so never had the chance to try them. I know a few riders who highly recommend Vesrah pads about £55 for the set.. again I've never tried them. I'll give feedback on the new compound from brembo (sintered LA) when I get them on the bike... try Ferrodo they where good and could pick them up for £32 per side.. Just be ware though that the OEM Ducati pads are their own organic blend and the Suzuki pads are I believe based on what was in my friends brand new Hayabusa Vesrah organic. Hope that helps you a little.. |

Ohh I've just looked at the service manual... OEM Ducati pads for the 821 are Organic Toshiba.
