Kriega US30 on a 696
Anyone think this might be a bit to big to carry on the seat cowl?
Planning a euro trip next year, and pretty much decided on the kriega, but undecided on 20l or 30l. Will on need to carry 3-4days worth of clothes as i'm meeting up with family after this. i will likely have a bagster tank bag too. |

I'd take the cowl off, so it sits on the seat, it'll grip better and won't damage your paint.
I've regularly carried a US20 + US10 without an issue on the older shaped Monster, I reckon you should be fine. I can just squeeze both on the tank when I have a pillion but it's a bit of a tight fit. My prefered touring bag for the rear seat is an Ortlieb 35l moto dry sack, utterly waterproof in the worst conditions. Got mine from Ghyllside Cycles who provided excellent service. US20 on tank and dry bag on seat |

to fit the bags
http://ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showt...ghlight=kreiga or get some of these http://www.kriega.com/rackloops/ I did a weeks euro tour with a 30L on the back, with a 10l on the tank for passport, wallet, phone etc.

Yes , don't ruin the seat cowl if your running solo. You probably wont but why risk it. I ran 20L on the 1100s and 20L fits fine even with a 10L on top but is a bit too tall. I am thinking of upping to 30 L and I know they fit fine and will use on the Scrambler.

Huge memory bubble went pop as soon as I saw that Frankenstein sign.......Hocus Pocus by Focus.........Listening to Fluff on a Saturday afternoon whilst polishing the bike up for a night out....Aaah...

You could try these
http://www.kriega.com/panigale-fit-kit/ http://www.kriega.com/rackloops/ Using the fixing points on the under side of the of the frame.
