I remember Grape Ape totally - it was ****e! Bailey's comets was a ridiculous series about a round the world skating race - also total ****e! Great things we (I) used to watch as a kid... VERY 70s - really trashy... Now **** dastardly and Mutley - that was a different class altogether!!!!!

Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy.
Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye. He's got style, a groovy style, and a car that just won't stop. When the going gets tough, he's really rough, with a Hong Kong Phooey chop (Hi-Ya!) Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy. Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye. Hong Kong Phooey, he's fan-riffic (gong!)

Scatman Crothers
Was the voice for Hong Kong Phooey.
He was also the janitor (spooky coincidence huh) who spotted the fact that Jack Nicholson's son in The Shining had 'The Shining'. I used to use HKP as my avatar a couple of years ago on here funnily enough. |

Surely this is more your style NTB?
Armed with only a purple hat and a white overcoat concealing a variety of strange secret weapons, SS rounded up the most fiendish villains in the world (including Yellow Pinky - named after Goldfinger from the Bond films). But while James Bond escaped from capture by using a laser embedded in his watch, SS used a far more hi-tech approach, a pair of scissors he had hidden under his hat.

We saw Bensons school of motoring in Great Yarmouth last week.
It's a conspiracy I reckon, to take over the world by driving mostly.
