Clear Tail Ligt or Red?

The saga of the 2001 continues.

Turns out that the rear light is the next to be bodged on with glue. So I was thinking of a nice LED tail light.

I liked the Barracuda Tiger one that Spareshack used to sell but since thier unfortunate demise I am looking at a fleabay one.

So Red or Clear?

Vote now!

Chris,
I have both. I had a clear one fitted to my old RS which was white with red frame. It also had integrated indicators (which have now been outlawed on MoT).
With the colour scheme you have I reckon a clear one would look good as it will follow the white stripe through the tail.
I have a red one on my Tricolore at present but am considering putting the clear one back on but will also wire in separate indicators this time too (for MoT purposes.)

So long story short - I vote CLEAR

Another vote for a clear LED one.

I had one fitted before I went "Scotty"

I went for a complete red led unit - imported from Germany via ebay & have same unit fitted to Buell

Nice and bright with built in white LED numberplate light

I say make your own choice and be happy with it. Sod what anyone else thinks!

Personally, and since you asked, I'd go for a red one.

usually not legal, as the indicators have insuficient separation for con-u regs

Told by bike tester at last years MoT and shown article quoting the fact that VOSA had outlawed bike tail lights with integrated indicators. Bloke still passed mine though as he liked it so much. :-)

Recently told of guys having problems with MOT stations passing integrated tail lights,
I personally like a clear lens LED tail light on the old style monster.
