S2r Clocks Fitting M750 '98?
I may have a spare pair of s2r clocks coming off my 2005 bike and was gonna give them my mate who has an M750 '98 R - reg with the single speedo
Can we make the newer clocks fit his bike without any problems? |

First thing to check is....does it actually physically fit?,same plug etc.
The bad news is...(though I have no direct experience of this) I'm pretty sure the new clocks are connected to the keyset etc and maybe the chip or other systems, security issues, immobilizer stuff and all that etc. I've heard the dd racers whine about this one so maybe they could chime in.

I'm with Dave on this only because of conversations I've had with Markus. Go check out Marchesini's homepage (www.simonvicki.co.uk) and click on the 'wheels' tab and then the S4R project and read the 'dash replacement' on stage 6 and 'computer replacement & digital dash' bit about the immobiliser chip causing big probs on stage 7.

Different speedo drive (hall effect electronic off back wheel on S2R, cable off front for M750) rev counter feed is off ECU (M750 doesn't have one) so little point really.
