No Longer Baffled
Yay!!! I'm not baffled anymore with the help of NB's and his slide hammer - might get a rectification notice when I ride into work next week though Wonder if I could have the same treatment on my brain????

My 750 has the standard pipes "cored", which gives much the same level of noise! However, as there is no visible sign of modification/damage from looking up the pipes, and as they still have all the official Ducati marks and stamps, it gets through the MOT every year. As long as the pipes don't say "NOT FOR ROAD USE", you should get away with it 9 times out of 10, which is why the high-level SILS on my S4 also get through the MOT.

If I do get caught I will be doing something about it. The screw holes give it away really but I have been given a tip by someone. Unfortunately didn't fancy braving the high winds this morning but did 100 miles on it yesterday and my mate on his GSXR said it sounds as it should now
