M1200s fuel gauge
My 2018 monster has a fuel gauge with a mind of it's own. If I fill up when it reads 3/4 full the gauge does not change, still reads 3/4. If I put 8ltr into an almost empty tank it says it's full, then this week I siphoned a gallon out for the lawn mower but the gauge says the tank is still full. I took it out for a 40 mile run and it still read full before I put 8ltr in. Has any other 1200 owner noticed anything similar?

Yup I've noticed a couple of similar issues, especially when the fills were small or partial.
The in tank sensor only seems to update when it crosses certain set thresholds. I suspect it uses fuel consumption numbers from the ECU when running along with a fairly agricultural in tank sensor to try to give a "measured" discharge as the fuel is used and just the agricultural sensor for fill ups. That would certainly explain what you saw when borrowed some of the Monsters fuel.

This is of no help to you at all, but mine works exactly as I expect a fuel guage to. Accurately and normally. It counts down each digital green block until it changes to the orange blocks when getting v low. The display mileage then changes to range left counting down instead of up. It's good for me. Hope you can find a solution for yours.

You can go to your local dealership and let it reset. If this doesn't help, you need to replace it. - |
