The King is Dead, Long Live the King....
.... well not the King and not dead but....
After several years as club Pres, the time is right to hand the reigns over to our beloved club to a new face. Life has got really busy over the last few months and I can't give the UKMOC the attention it deserves so the Pres duties will be handed over. In the spirit of true democracy, I've asked a few people and we all came to the same conclusion. Even better, the person in the frame also agreed so I'm pleased to be able to hand over to a club member as passionate about the bikes and brand as anyone and someone who is well respected in the club by everyone who has met him and had any dealings with him. So, without further ado, please be upstanding for the new UKMOC Club President, the one, the only, Mr Slob!!!!! Rob has kindly agreed to take things on and I hope you all give him your support and continue to support to the UKMOC. Rather than dump everything on him, Benson will retain the Treasurer role and I'll continue to do the membership admin and some other stuff, leaving slob free (ish) to lead from the front! Ped

Thanks for the update Pedro and all your work while president
I'm sure Slob will make a great UKMOC captain - did you tell him about having to shave the beard off?

Well done Rob. That's quite a step up from being my spanner man to club President. I always said you would go far.
Thanks for all your efforts to date Ped. |

Thanks for all your efforts Ped, it's often a thankless task and people are quick to be critical and slow to recognise contributions.
Welcome to Rob at the helm, I'm sure your knowledge and commitment will be great assets to the club. I hope you will look favourably upon the water-cooled brethren as an important (if slightly ugly and wayward) part of the family. |

I notice that most of you have been members since the dark ages, so guess you all know each other (just one big happy family) So it may sound odd that a newbie wants to join in, but this site has been very useful to me already and I wanted to just say thanks. May it long continue. So from an exile in London, diolch yn fawr Pedro and Croeso Slob!
