Removing swarf from a magnetic drain plug

After spending about 10 minutes trying to remove the metallic fur from my drain plug and only succeeding in re-distributing it around the magnet I tried a a small square of duct tape which worked a treat, three or four passes and it was fur free.

Good tip, though I might have needed more tape for mine last year;
