Cool Cam belt pulleys

Has anyone fitted Light weight cam belt pulleys?

I am thinking of doing this to my 900ss engine, just for looks! And then keeping the covers off!!!

Yorkie.

Anyone know of a seller of the above?? Must look good though!!

Haven't done so...but I'm planning to one day take them of and having them painted. Having see through covers will make that look ace I think.

Maybe not a good idea to run without the covers, you only need the odd foreign object on the belts and all could go rapidly down hill, alloy transparent covers look good, not cheap!

Or keep an eye out for this guy on e bay. Ive bought from him and his stuff is good quality. Some of the covers he has at the moment are a bit garish but the list regularly changes

STM make a tasty set of adjustable cam pulleys for the 2 valve monster, so you can dial the cams in easily. Not outrageously expensive.
Agree about the running without covers comment, one object caught in the belt could well mean one wrecked engine. If it happens to be your finger, one wrecked engine plus one missing finger.

i ran mine with the covers off for a while after changing the belts at the weekend. tbh i was glad to get them on again. exposed moving engine parts don't do it for me. too much risk of damage both to the engine and your digits etc.
