Insurance
A month ago my neighbour knocked my bike over and caused damage to the right hand side of the bike ! One of the items damaged was the exhaust and it is being replaced with an aftermarket exhaust , is it possible for me to have the old exhaust back ?

Ask the repairer what they want for it as it's theirs after they take it off.

I work for a car repair shop. Occasionally people ask for light damaged parts back as spares. These are usually freely given as a goodwil gesture. I think technically the old parts are owned by the insurance company and not the repair shop and are presumed to be disposed of, as in scrapped/ recycled.

Sad to hear that it's been knocked over, but good to know it's getting fixed and the old exhaust is...
something fruity perhaps?
