Just to add to this thread,I fitted a set of high level carbon Sil Moto cans to my M900 ie many years ago and it sounds lovely in my opinion.It always made me chuckle to think they were rated at something like 105dB which would have failed the noise test at race circuits even then!!
The other funny thing is it has always passed the MOT with the cans fitted
