ok dare I ask the question , why did the main ends go on my 900ie at only 40k ? I had it from only 4k serviced every 4 to 6 k miles , original air box and filter always good quality oil , I figured that was fairly normal life of a bike engine ? I did ride it fairly spritely but never near the limiter ? although I know the 1100s is a bit further up the spec range and more modern engine so hoping for a bit more longevity ..
