Thanks for posting those up Derek.
I can tell the Darmah is nice even in the lovely contemporary (wet) photo.
I went to see a mate in about '82, as he said he was selling his Darmah, but by the time I got there he had changed his mind! I came away with nearly two Ajay 650s in boxes for £100 instead. There started an interesting chapter.
Some years later I made a date to look at two 888s in bits about 40 miles away, but it was a nice day and I somehow managed not to get there. I often wonder how the story would have gone, had I bought them.
Then I had a test ride on a 750GT in about '95, but it only had 3 gears and the seller was very grumpy.. So I had to wait until 2000 when I got my first Ducati. A '92 750ss with dry clutch.. About the same vintage as your very smart 900SS I think? Always thought it was a superb motorbike, except that it was so uncomfortable. I've got my second 750SS now, to see if I can make it into a REALLY nice motorbike which is comfortable too.
