A late 2001 Sie might not have had the Ohlins.
The 2000 M900Sie had everything thrown at it and was a very high spec bike. They soon started dropping items from that model once the fuss about the new millennium died down.
The model inherited the "ST" frame late in 2001 and lost it's hoop rear suspension link. Not sure whether it then gained the later ECU though? That could be when the Ohlins was dropped?
The 2000 is definitely the one to have. I've had mine coming up for 11 years and it's just gone past 50000 miles. I'm giving it a bit of a once over this winter as it deserves it.

I think Grumpy still has a 2000 M900Sie in the back of his shed, but it's not for me to say if he'd sell it. He might be able to help you out?
The tank has got an idiosyncratic paint job (Character!) and I think a slight dent, but as it happens I'm in the process of spraying up a spare 900ie tank in Rosso with standard decals. So an easy fix for that.
