Yes I agree, the customer is always right and the problem with large companies is that can get lost in the chain of the organisation. You did the right thing on here and was given the right advice with a positive outcome with the intervention of Ducati UK you got a positive outcome. Which maybe something that would be of benefit to others if maybe Ducati Uk coordinated tours from the UK maybe that would be an improvement they could make, worked for you, you've got Livio Lodi ffs, mr ducati history taking you round. When I booked the tour it was only a few days before I was due to fly out that they confirmed which was not such a problem for me as I it was not the main purpose of the trip, just a bonus really.
