I noticed that when I've been riding in 55 Degree (F) weather the mileage goes to the toilet. This is because the operating temperature of the bike is a lot cooler (~154 Deg F) than it is on a warm summer day. What happens is the ECU looks at this and adjusts the air fuel to run a bit richer. Ideal operating temp is around 180 Deg F.
