For the non-Italian speakers, here's a translation:

Ducati Monster 2021 - here is the first photo!

We have a photo of the new Monster and yes, it's all confirmed: from next year the Borgo Panigale naked will sport an unprecedented aluminum monocoque frame like the latest Panigale and Streetfighter models.

The first "true" image of the new Ducati Monster comes from the German magazine Das Motorrad. We had already talked about it last week on the occasion of another image related to clearly a Monster disguised for testing. And today the German magazine seems to have confirmed our hypotheses on what will be the beginning of a new era.

Goodbye trellis
Never before has the adjective "new" been more appropriate, given that Ducati has gone beyond a cosmetic update: the Monster of the future will have a monocoque frame, conceptually similar to that adopted by the V4 family. A solution derived from the experience gained in MotoGP and in recent years refined and adapted to street bikes (the first was the Panigale 1199, here in comparison with the BMW S 1000 RR).

So, farewell to the historic steel tube trellis, a characteristic element of the Borgo Panigale naked since the first model of 1993, the one designed by Miguel Galluzzi who gave birth to the segment of the modern high-performance naked.

Which engine is to be fitted is still unclear: instinctively and thinking about the design of the chassis, one would think of the 955 Superquadro twin cylinder adopted from the Panigale 955, looking at the layout, shapes and dimensions of the crankcases placed on the engine, probably the twin is the same as fitted to the Hypermotard and Multistrada 950 S.

As for what you can "see", aesthetically the new Monster does not get a real shake-up so much as a touch-up to the lines, with a more sculpted tank and, above all, an increasingly "mini" tail and similar to that of a supersports, to underline once again the sporty character of the new Monster.
