Yea, otherwise I would have swapped the one from my '97 748 but I think that's a blade one. If this one is ok I will buy a few more as spares. I think my original one has stopped working but I'm not sure because when I unplugged it the oil light stayed on.

I could test it with a multimeter if I knew if it is open at rest and closed when running or the other way around. And rather unhelpfully they don't give much info in the workshop manual either. As I don't have a Mathesis or the original manufacturers specification to hand!
