I think everyone realises that it's a forgone conclusion that we won't be able to attend this meet.
However I got a phone call from the wonderful Mr Keith Eldred (85) yesterday.
In a touching old fashioned way he profusely apologised, but suggested that it was probably for the best to postpone our visit as a large part of the tour is watching several films in "briefing room" that could not accommodate 2M spacing.
We had a lovely chat and he told me how the site is now restored to the condition when it was ready to receive Britain's first Atom bombs in the fifties.
We reflected on how we worried they would drop the bomb in our younger days and how the whole World has been changed by a microbe... Funny ol' world innit?
We're pencilled in for 2021. I'm very much looking forward to meeting the nice gentleman and seeing his historic site.
