I seem to remember from an earlier thread that there was some confusion over what year's choke system your bike had. I'd have thought that you'd need 65540021A, which is the one that runs through the steering stem.

If you can't find a suitable spare, you could try sending your original to a cable company like Venhill and see if they can make you a replacement using your original fittings.
