I did this with a car dash after a giant scratch from my wedding ring. Start with wet and dry using the finest grade you can get away with to remove the scratch then work up to finer grades but use it all over the dash so its all the same. Keep working slowly through the grades until just very fine like haze is all over the dash. Then I used my Dual action polisher with a really small pad and various cutting compounds to bring it back smooth and shiny.

You could also look at something like Meguiars headlight scratch removal kits.

Head over to detailingworld.co.uk where you will find loads of advice on all things scratch removal but prepare to become addicted to polishing and cleaning in ways you never thought thing would be done
