Geoff claimed that I inspired him to do his headlamp conversion and gave me a running commentary. It features one of my headlamp adapters and a Cibie lamp. He schooled me in the correct pronunciation of Cibie which he insisted is see-be-ay as the French say it, not cee-bee as most of us do.
He used to travel with Fords rally team to maintain the transmissions, he would be able to get free Cibie lamps from the works van that attended the rallies too, but he had to pay for the one in his bike..
He gave me a fantastic nod in the design of the last Weekender T-shirt when he instigated the inclusion of an adapter ring in the headlamp of the arm logo. You can see it in Luddite's avatar. I think he christened me Lord of the Rings too..
I know who bought Geoff's bike, so I'm sure it's being very well looked after and probably won't be altered.. hope it get's ridden though..
