So last year had an advisory of possible warped discs and seeing as I've saved money on not going to Italy with Ducati Manchester, missed the weekender, Glastonbury and the summer holiday etc etc I thought I'd treat the bike to new rotors and pads. Rotors are on all great. Ive gone to do the pads and Ive been sent pads that dont look like they match. They are all in correctly labelled packets but as you can see below whilst being the same shape and size the grooves in the braking material isn't the same on the different coloured ones. The black look the same as the ones one the bike - they have little circles in the back. I am wondering if the blue ones are not actuallly what the packet says or if they are maybe a newer design or different pad type. The code on the back of the blue ones matches what is on the packets. Main questionis is it be safe to fit them and if so would you put one of each colour on each side eg blue outside black inside. Or do I need to send one back?
