I hope you get a good result second time around.

Any reason to consider POR Patch Putty a bodge? It works 100%, its warranteed for three years by companies who offer tank repair, its stronger than steel and its easy to use, no fire risk, & cheaper than Tig welding.

Each to their own of course!
